BACKGROUND OF THE ORGANIZATION

Mobility Foundation is an indigenous non-governmental organization formed in 2004 with its office in Tamale Metropolis and project areas in Nanumba North and South, Yendi, Gushegu/ Karaga Districts in the northern region of Ghana.  The members of organization observed through research that development intervention over the years failed to address the needs of persons with disabilities, women and children. The formation of the organization also necessitated by persons with disabilities, women  and children need capacity building and training for sustainable development in their communities to improve their living standards

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the organisation is to provide and equipped persons with disabilities, women and children with the needed skills, knowledge and facilities to enable them break through the various cycles of poverty to improved their living standards 

VISION STATEMENT

The vision of the organisation is to create a space for Persons with Disabilities, women and children in our operational areas and to improve their access to health care, education, human rights and Environmental conservation to wherever they live

OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANISATION

• To promote and create awareness of family reproductive health rights, Malaria and HIV/AIDS
• To affirm the need for effective protection and promotion the participation of  PWDs, women’s and children including their rights to bodily integrity and highest standards of physical and mental and social well being to make important decision affecting their life and communities as well
• To promote rural education and support needs focusing on PWDs, girls and  children of intellectual disabilities but brilliant students
• To promote environment friendly for future generation
